What are Lab grown Diamonds?

Natural diamonds are created over a period of one to three billion years, at least 85 miles below the earth's mantle under natural conditions of very high pressure and high temperature. Natural diamonds travel to the surface of the earth via molten rock where it is mined, cut, polished and set into jewellery.

Lab grown diamonds are created in a precise laboratory process that emulates the natural process of a diamond’s growth.  A diamond seed undergoes extreme conditions of very high pressure and high temperature to create a rough diamond in just a few weeks or months.  The rough diamond is then cut, polished and set into jewellery.

Visually, chemically and physically identical to a natural diamond, lab grown diamonds offer better value because they are man-made.
